ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers, established in 1920 with its Headquarters located in Kolkata and incorporated under Royal Charter on 9th September, 1935 with the responsibility to promote the general advancement of engineering amongst its members and persons attached to the Institution. The Institution has been serving the engineering fraternity for over a Century with its national and international presence through 125 Centers spread all over India, 6 Overseas Chapters, 7 Fora and an Organ namely Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Hyderabad. It has been recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and besides conducting its own research, provides Grant-in-Aid to UG/PG/ PhD students of Engineering Institutes & Universities. The erstwhile West Bengal State Centre was established in 1921 at Calcutta in order to cater to the needs of the members of the entire eastern region of India. Pursuant with its objective of propagating the cause of engineering science and technology, it organizes various conference/ symposium/ conferences/short term courses on the contemporary engineering and technological issues. This center is known as the heritage center of IEI.
THEME OF THE CONFERENCE
A human-centric industry puts human needs and interests at the centre of the production process. Industry 5.0 asks what the technology can do for workers. While robots are tireless and precise, they’re literal and lack the capacity for critical and creative thought of their human partners. There is an increased cyber security threat in critical industrial systems and manufacturing lines at industry 5.0 due to its increased connectivity and use of standard communications protocols. Industry 5.0 demands a huge amount of investment to fully implement all its pillars which is difficult to industry and especially the SMEs to adopt. Despite several research and development activities, many challenges and issues are imposed in Industry
We finally present these difficulties in terms of security, privacy, human-robot co-working in a factory, scalability, and skilled workforce. We also highlight promising research directions towards the realization of Industry 5.0. Industry 5.0 has three key pillars: human-centric, resilient and sustainable. Usage of artificial intelligence and automation in industry 5.0 are threats for the business, and therefore it is required to have trusted security for it. The applications of Industry 5.0 are focused on the ICT systems, and therefore it leads to strict security issues to prevent the security challenges. With this idea, Computer Engineering Division of WBSC IEI along with Seacom Group of Colleges are organizing this conference to bring the academia and industries on a common platform for better understanding and information dissemination.
The sub-themes of the Conference are as follows :
- Science, Engineering & Management Intelligence to Support Industry 5.0 .
- Cloud Security & Supply Chain Management under Industry 5.0 .
- Human Cyber Physical Systems, Big Data Analytics & Block Chain .
- Digital Twins, Collaborative Robots and Internet of Everything.
- Advances in Health Care & Disaster Management to Lead 5.0 .
- Environmental Management, Education & Social Intelligence.
